A motorcyclist has died following a single-vehicle crash that occurred east of Markham, Ontario, on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place at noon on Highway 2, between Highway 418 and Solina Road.

Victim Information
Markham Regional Police reported that the motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle, causing the motorcycle to veer off the roadway. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained critical injuries. Although preparations were made to airlift the motorcyclist to a Toronto-area trauma center via Ornge air ambulance for urgent treatment, he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Highway 2 is currently closed in the affected area as authorities conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the fatal crash.
